Dracula A.D. 1972

Christopher Lee in one of the few times he portrayed Dracula
Stephanie Beacham as the woman he loves
Peter Cushing as that old sore head Professor Van Helsing
Christopher Neame as Johnny Alucard
Michael Coles as the Inspector

Stephanie Beacham gives a gravity defying performance in this, the grooviest of all Hammer horrors.  Dracula, gets killed by a direct descendent of Van Helsing, only to get better in the year 1972. He is brought back to life by some unknowing swinging hep cats.  Little do these kids know is that Johnny Alucard, the new kid in the gang, is Dracula’s right hand.  Zoinks!  Say it ain’t so Johnny?  Jinkies!  Now Dracula has bloodshot eyes for Jessica!  Dracula asks “danger prone” Johnny to set up a date.  But Jessica is Van Helsing’s granddaughter, and Van Helsing doesn’t improve of Dracula, and not just cuz he’s a vampire, but also because of the age difference.  So Van Helsing “Pearl Harbors” Dracula, and saves his granddaughter.  Dracula would have gotten away with it to, if it hadn’t been for those kids.
